The essentials
Snoot stores your goals, deposits and preferences ONLY on your device. There are no accounts, we never sell your data, and there are no ads or cross-app tracking. The only things that leave your phone are anonymous usage events (see "Anonymous usage analytics") and the purchase data processed by Apple and RevenueCat.
What data the app handles
Your savings goals, deposits, challenges, streak and settings (like reminders) are stored locally on your phone. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it (except your standard iOS device backup).
Snoot is a visual tracker: it never connects to your bank and never holds or moves real money.
In-app purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider. RevenueCat processes your purchase history (which product, when, and whether it is active) together with an anonymous app user identifier, to validate and restore your subscription; it never receives your goals or amounts. This data is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
Anonymous usage analytics
To understand how the app is used and improve it, the app sends anonymous product-interaction events to a database we operate on Supabase, our cloud provider. Examples: the app was opened, an onboarding step or screen was viewed, the subscription screen was shown, and a purchase was started, completed or cancelled.
Each event contains the event name and short labels (such as a step name), the app version, your device language, a random identifier created when the app is installed, a per-session identifier and an anonymous Supabase sign-in that is not tied to any account. Events never include your name, email, contacts, location, advertising identifier (IDFA), or the names or amounts of your goals and deposits.
We use this data only for analytics. It is not linked to your identity, is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Deleting the app deletes the random identifier; reinstalling it creates a new one.
Notifications
Weekly reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They only exist if you turn them on, and you can turn them off anytime.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not collect identifiable personal data from anyone, including children.
